“But God raised him from death,” (Acts 13:30, GNB)

I love how the person who versified the Scriptures, made this just one verse in the Bible because it sets out what became of Christ after his death in such stark and poignant terms.  The broader passage reads:

“And after they had done everything that the Scriptures say about him, they took him down from the cross and placed him in a tomb. But God raised him from death,” (Acts 13:29–30, GNB)

Jesus was killed, was murdered really.  Put to death at the command of Pilate who was encouraged to do so by Jewish religious leaders who fully knew that Jesus was innocent of anything deserving death.

What now followers of Christ? What will become of your lives? of your faith?  of your futures?

But God raised him from the dead (ESV).

And suddenly everything has changed.
