Psalms 27:1 (HCSB)

The Lord is my light and my salvation —
whom should I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life —
of whom should I be afraid?

Using typical Hebrew poetic parallel, David asks the same question twice.  Give the fact that The Lord is his/our light and salvation and stronghold, whom then should we fear?  The God who spoke words and all that we see was created is our stronghold.  Whom to fear then?  Earthly powers?  Satan?  Life events?
We fear when something or someone beyond our control can effect us, but what is beyond the Lord’s control?  There is not a thing.  Why fear?
