Psalms 94:18-19 (HCSB)

If I say, “My foot is slipping,”
Your faithful love will support me, Lord.
When I am filled with cares,
Your comfort brings me joy.

A good example of Hebrew poetry in which an idea is stated and then restated in different terms.  Here the psalmist is speaking about the Lord’s care and comfort of him.  Who isn’t filled with cares in this life?  Who doesn’t feel that at times his foot is slipping.
What brings comfort in times like these?  The Lord brings comfort and provides joy, not necessarily by changing e my circumstances, but by his faithful support in circumstances.
How about you, dear reader?  To whom do you for for comfort when you are filled with cares?
