“The LORD’s works are great, studied by all who delight in them.” (Psalms 111:2 HCSB)

The psalmist doesn’t specifically list what works he is talking about, although one assumes he means creation, history, and redemption.  To the New Testament believer, redemption would be foremost since it is the single work that most glorifies God who made his Son Jesus both just and the justifier of those who come to faith.

Here we have our motivation to dig deep into the wonder of nature because it all comes from our great Creator God.  The same is true for the course of history and God’s providence in history.  In regards to redemption who can plumb the depths of what we learn about God as we study the incarnation and the cross and the resurrection?  Soli Deo Gloria.
