Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” (Psalm 107:1, ESV)

The psalmist sure thinks so.  He puts no limitations on the nature of God’s goodness at all.  He is good [with no limiting qualifications].

Spurgeon: “He is essentially, perpetually, superlatively, infinitely good.”

The Zondervan NIV Study Bible points out: “One of the most fundamental aspects of God’s nature (cf. 135:3; 136:1); thus, it should be a fundamental part of a believer’s praise. Adam and Eve doubted God’s goodness in the garden because they thought he was withholding something “good” from them (Gen 3:6).”

May we, dear reader, not be like Adam and Eve and never doubt that God is good: All. The. Time.
